DIGITAL DESTINATIONS
(incorporating NVG's Tourism Technology Forum)
*** WE HAVE MANAGED TO SECURE ONE MORE DAY BEFORE WE NEED TO CONFIRM NUMBERS TO THE VENUE, SO CAN ACCEPT BOOKINGS UNTIL 4PM MONDAY ***
The last 12 months have seen an ongoing transformation in the way destinations have promoted themselves in the digital world, in parallel with major changes in funding and policy across England, Wales & Scotland.
Destination websites have gone in many directions - some gathering more content, and some less; some becoming more commercial, some less; and virtually all have taken on at least some of the opportunities from social media and user-generated content.
The TMI's Hot Topic 2012 seeks to help delegates plan their digital futures, with presentations from:
- Providers of different technology solutions.
- Innovators in applying new technology to new areas
- 4 destinations following markedly different strategies.
- National perspectives from VisitWales and VisitEngland.
- An expert Social Media practitioner.
- PLUS workshops on:
- Monitoring performance
- T&Cs & Cookie Law
- Reviews & UGC
- VisitEngland Apps & Social Media
As always, there will also be plenty of time for questions, debate and networking.
The event will be:
At: The TechnoCentre, Coventry
On: Thursday 24th May
The venue is close to Coventry station as well as numerous motorways, with free parking and budget accommodation nearby.
For those able to arrive the day before, there will be an optional walking tour of Coventry, a 'Speed dating & Surgery' session with sponsors NVG, and informal networking.
Space at the event is limited and we already have 100 delegates booked, so please don't delay if you plan to join us.
